I Hope To Be An Inspiring Role Model

I campaign for diversity in science, and through my talks I aim to share my personal experiences as a woman in STEM in a way that might inspire others to reach their potential and attain their goals. I am passionate about changing the stereotype of what it is to be a scientist, and I hope to inspire more young people, especially girls, to study science - by showing them that people like them can be happy and successful in science careers.

Stuff I Love Talking About
I am regularly called upon to deliver talks and run fun workshops in schools, universities and at live events. I present fun science quiz shows on weird and wonderful science facts, which forms the basis of my new book Brain-Fizzing Facts, with an 'x-rated' version on the science of sex and attraction. I speak about cutting edge science topics such as stem cells, gut bacteria, regenerative medicine, obesity and women's fertility. I share my thoughts on women in science, gender equality, imposter syndrome, secrets of success, science careers, my own personal story, resilience, confidence, the importance of being seen for who you truly are, and the value of emotion in science and society. I also speak about maths, and the use and abuse of statistics in the media, and I run workshops on the science of sexual arousal and exploring new relationship paradigms. Please let me know if you would like a bespoke talk created especially for you and your audience!
I also host events, chair discussions and speak on panels - more info on this is at the bottom of this page.

From Complexity to Clarity

I am an experienced public speaker who is passionate about engaging people in scientific topics. I love to explain maths and science in a way that makes it fascinating for both students and adults, breaking down complex ideas and helping people to make sense of the world. My audiences tell me they find my talks exciting, engaging and fun. I'm an also experienced event host and panel chair - see below.

"Brilliant public speaker and a great advocate for humanity. This TEDx talk should be compulsory to watch in schools."

Mike Thompson, YouTube user

"If ever there was a woman who could capture the imagination of young and old alike to engage with STEM subjects it is Dr Grossman."
